The "Witch Way to the 5K" road race is a 3.1 mile race that starts at the
Ross A. Lurgio Middle School and finishes on the track in front of the school.
The race will be professionally timed and awards will be presented to the top
finishers in each age group, the 3 best costumes, and some special awards.
Kids Run
A separate kids run will be also be held approximately 30 minutes before the
start of the 5K. The kids run will start at the same location as the 5K. The
kids course is a single lap around the school complex finishing at the same
place where they started. Each finisher will receive a special award.
Costumes
This race is being held the day before Halloween so if you have a costume,
please feel free to wear it during the race. There will be judges posted
on the race course and we will be presenting awards to the runners with the
best costume. Be creative!
Showers and Changing Facilities
Participants are free to use the shower and changing facilities of the
High school. These facilities will be open between 9:00am and 1:00pm. Please
be clean and considerate.
Post Race Food
We will have yogurt, fruits, gatorade and water for after the race. This
food and drink is complimentary for the participants. Burgers, hotdogs,
pizza and other goodies will be available at the local concession stand
at a reasonable price.
What is the cost of the race?
The cost of the 5K race is $20.00. The cost of the kids run is $5.00.
All proceeds go to the Ross A. Lurgio Middle School.
Race Timing and Results
The race will be professionally timed by
3C Race Productions with
the results posted on coolrunning.com.
The results will include the top
finishers in each age group along with the overall results.

The proceeds from this race will go to the Ross A. Lurgio School.

How Do I Register for the Race
On-Line registration is now open. You can register by clicking on the
"Register Now" image located in the right sidebar. If you don't want to
register on-line, you can mail in a paper application. There is a link to
the application on the top of the right bar, or you can download from

registration closes at 10:15am.
